Julian Castle

Julian Castle, who is based in Hertfordshire in England, is a photographer who specialises in architecture and travel location imagery. As a fully qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photography, Julian has been nominated for Licentiate of the Year. Julian's work has featured in various publications including The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, The Daily Telegraph and Coast magazine.

For his profile picture, Julian chose his shot of Kengo Kuma’s Darius Milhaud Conservatory of Music and Dance in Aix-en-Provence, France: "I often look for minimalist and abstract compositions in my work. The aluminium exterior was ideal for this as I reduced the image to comprise just a dominant black void (window) and the feint rendering of the building’s distinctive pleated façade."
